APPLICATION

The Ultra-Lok safety filter retaining system provides a sturdy housing for HEPA safety filters and dust collector monitoring systems. The system is recommended for applications where filtered air is returned to the building. It is typically installed on the discharge side of the dust collector and fan.

When the dust collector is operating properly, the safety filter collects a minimal amount of dust and operates for long periods without requiring a changeout.However, if the dust collector develops a leak in an element, the

safety filter captures 99.97% of the particulate that would otherwise escape into the plant (as measured by ASHRAE std. 52-76). It also develops a pressure drop that can be monitored with a gauge or alarm to alert engineering and maintenance personnel when the dust collector needs service.

DESCRIPTION

The Ultra-Lok retaining system is ruggedly constructed, 14-gauge galvanized steel enclosure. It can be configured to hold 1,2,3,4,6,8,9, or 12 99.97% HEPA filters and Air-O-J prefilters. Its modular construction and wide range of available sizes make it compatible with almost any dust collection system. The Ultra-Lok unit is easy to install and maintain. It can be integrated with any ductwork system using standard construction hardware. The filters are accessible form both sides in order to simplify servicing, inspection, and changeout. Inserting the filters automatically seals them to the housing without special retainers, clips, or sealants.
